Occupational Therapy

The goal of occupational therapy is to make routine activities easier and improve your quality of life. It may also enable you to return to work. It can help enhance skills like walking, talking, eating, cleaning, and other activities limited by a condition or injury that has impactedmotor skills.

Our OTs create treatment plans personalized to patient needs. After performing an exam and evaluation, they will compile a list of therapies and practices that will be most beneficial to you. This plan, paired with scheduled visits, can help you see improvement in your injury or maintain the skills earned during inpatient care.

Occupational therapists use a variety of therapies to help you build strength and skills. Possible therapies include:

  • 5Exercises
  • 5Mobility training
  • 5Specialized equipment instruction
  • 5Adaptive strategies
  • 5Energy conservation techniques
  • 5Neuromuscular rehab
  • 5Cognitive therapy
  • 5Visual acuity rehab
